Purpose Statement This is an entry level role, where individuals will be trained to manage the procurement execution of assigned goods, commodities and/or services in accordance with the quality, delivery and pricing expectations as detailed in Purchasing SOP's and WI's. Key Job Accountabilities Responsible for purchasing of materials in accordance with the guidelines set forth by Plexus management and the customer's contract in terms of AVL adherence, unit price, quality and delivery. Makes tactical buying decisions with respect to the placement and management of all purchase orders, including order placement, rescheduling, cancellations and timely resolution of non-conforming material, goods discrepancies, and invoice queries. Minimizes inventory while maintaining adequate material to meet production plans. Initiates appropriate corrective actions and escalates to avoid impacting the production schedule. Collaboratively manages established procurement automation processes, optimizing, troubleshooting, and ensuring data integrity within the automation systems to support efficient and accurate purchasing. Decides when to leverage automation versus requesting exceptions in overall execution. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree with 1 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered. Other Qualifications Strong analytical skills Detail oriented Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills Strong Google Workspace or MS Office skills with advanced knowledge of Excel General office equipment and materials Physical Requirements Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment.
