Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled HIL Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test systems for embedded control units. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in HIL system development, hardware schematics interpretation/design, and hands-on expertise with dSPACE platforms. This role requires close collaboration with software, hardware, and systems engineering teams to ensure robust validation of control algorithms and embedded systems. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test systems for ECU validation. Configure and integrate HIL systems using dSPACE platforms such as dSPACE SCALEXIO and dSPACE MicroLabBox. Develop plant models using MATLAB/Simulink for real-time simulation. Analyze and interpret hardware schematics to support signal conditioning, I/O interfacing, and fault insertion strategies. Collaborate with hardware engineers to review schematics and ensure test coverage alignment. Perform system integration, debugging, and validation of embedded controllers. Develop automated test scripts and regression test suites. Troubleshoot HIL bench issues including communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.). Support SIL/MIL to HIL transition activities. Document test setups, validation procedures, and results. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience in HIL system development . Hands-on experience with dSPACE tools (ControlDesk, ConfigurationDesk, AutomationDesk). Strong understanding of hardware schematics , signal conditioning, and electronic circuits. Experience with real-time simulation and model-based development (MATLAB/Simulink). Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet). Experience with debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
