The Interior Architect will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive interior architecture solutions across all phases of the project. This includes producing technical documentation, architectural drawings and elevations, coordinating with engineering consultants, and ensuring seamless integration between interior architecture and building systems. The role requires strong technical drafting skills, architectural expertise, and extensive collaboration with consultants and project teams to ensure all design intentions are accurately documented and executed. Key Responsibilities Design Documentation & Technical Drawings Develop detailed architectural drawings including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, and millwork details to construction document standards. Produce comprehensive interior elevation drawings for all spaces, ensuring accurate dimensioning, material callouts, and coordination with architectural elements. Create technical details for interior architectural elements including wall assemblies, ceiling systems, built-in furniture, and custom millwork. Prepare detailed door, window, and hardware schedules with specifications aligned to project requirements. Develop partition layouts and coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings to ensure proper integration. Consultant Coordination & Integration Participate in coordination meetings with consultants to integrate design intent into constraints provided by consultants. Collaborate with lighting consultants to integrate lighting designs into reflected ceiling plans and interior architectural details. Conduct drawing coordination reviews to identify and resolve conflicts between disciplines before construction. Interior Architecture & Construction Documentation Develop construction documentation packages including specifications, schedules, and technical details for interior build-out. Create detailed sections and enlarged plans for complex interior architectural conditions and transitions. Produce shop drawing reviews for millwork, metal work, glass systems, and other interior architectural components. Prepare material boards with technical specifications, installation requirements, and coordination notes for construction teams. Project Collaboration & Technical Supervision Interface with base building architects to ensure interior architecture aligns with core and shell requirements. Review contractor submittals for compliance with design intent and technical specifications. Conduct site visits to verify dimensional accuracy and coordinate field modifications with the project team. Participate in technical coordination meetings to resolve RFIs and architectural conflicts during construction. Ensure all technical deliverables meet industry standards for architectural documentation and building codes.
