About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Industrial Mechanic / Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team in the heavy industry / metal-mechanical sector. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with strong expertise in industrial maintenance or precision mechanical manufacturing , capable of working independently and solving complex technical challenges in demanding production environments. Education Mechanical Engineering / Mechanics Mechatronics or equivalent Additional technical certifications are a plus Training or courses in: Welding Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) CNC programming Experience Minimum 15 years in: Metal-mechanical industry OR solid experience in industries such as: Mining Heavy industry or complex production plants OR Extensive experience in high-precision mechanical workshops Technical Skills Background A – Industrial Maintenance Advanced experience in: Corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance Strong knowledge of: Hydraulic systems Pneumatic systems (compressed air) Disassembly, overhaul, and reassembly of industrial equipment Machine alignment, tolerances, and mechanical adjustments Advanced interpretation of technical drawings and schematics Deep knowledge of machining processes: Turning Milling Grinding Advanced use of precision measuring instruments: Micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, digital tools Experience with: Non-destructive testing (NDT) Welding (MIG, TIG, stick – certification preferred) Ability to interpret and manufacture from complex technical drawings Setup Basic/intermediate programming (ISO or conversational) Process optimization Technical Requirements Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Email Basic knowledge of: Maintenance systems (CMMS) or technical software is a plus Languages English: Intermediate (technical reading and operational communication) Soft Skills High level of autonomy Advanced problem-solving capabilities Technical leadership and mentoring of junior staff Precision and reliability Ability to perform in demanding work environments Strong focus on safety Mobility & Availability Based in Santa Catarina or willing to relocate Willingness to: Travel frequently across Mexico Work overtime and respond to urgent interventions Attend training at international locations Skills Experience in steel industry environments Technical certifications (NDT, welding, safety) Predictive maintenance expertise (vibration analysis, thermography) #J-18808-Ljbffr
