Job Overview The Skilled Operator supports and executes operational activities/processes in accordance with established specifications and (quality, safety and environment) guidelines to achieve production targets in the assigned area. This basic operator level involves routine production tasks, operating equipment and machinery, and gaining proficiency through training and experience. Responsibilities Operate equipment and machinery and perform routine tasks such as discharge, load, transport, clean, label and general operation to support safe, effective and efficient production. Periodically inspect production equipment and perform small maintenance tasks, signalling defects and deficiencies. When appropriate, conduct minor repair work on equipment. Log production data and activity information in logbooks/systems to maintain complete administration and insight into production orders. Signal deviations in current processes, techniques or systems, and flag improvement opportunities with supervisors to continuously optimise operational processes, tools and systems. Work in compliance with all relevant personal, food safety, environmental and quality regulations and procedures, as well as operational standards. Promote SHEQ awareness, signal potential hazardous or unsafe situations, and take appropriate action in case of imminent unsafe conditions. Ensure the work area is left clean and in a safe working condition, with no hazardous situations, and maintain the appearance of production lines, working areas and production sites. Continuous Improvement Signal deviations in current processes, techniques and/or systems, and flag opportunities for improvement with supervisors in order to continuously optimise and improve operational work processes, tools and systems. Good Housekeeping Ensure the work area is left clean and in a safe working condition, with no hazardous situations, and maintain the appearance of production lines, working areas and production sites.
