Almacenista (Temporal) / Warehouse Material Handler MX Temporary 3-month contract Description This position executes and supervises materials logistics activities for the KCS warehouse by requesting, receiving, storing, and distributing materials and supplies in the assigned area of responsibility and the registration and S4 (inventory system of KCSM). This position promotes improvements in the supply chain and management of special project activities. Accountabilities Operate safely per KCSM safety rules. Makes purchase requisitions materials, services, tools, equipment and consumables in the SAP system based on the requirements of the local operation. Records the casualties, departures, receipts and transfers of materials and services in the system. Processes the receiving, unloading and arranging of materials and tools in the Warehouse. Maintains the warehouse of materials in optimal order and cleaning conditions. Collaborates in the process of physically taking inventories, reconciling and auditing the materials in the SAP system vs physical inventory. Performs various analysis and reports of the department. Exemplifies KCS Vision, Values, and Culture interactions with coworkers, business partners, customers and stakeholders. Ideal Candidate Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or enrolled in an accredited program with less than one year until graduation, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Driver’s license. Working Conditions Shift work is an essential function of this job. Employees must have the ability and willingness to support critically important railroad operations 24 hours per day/7 days per week, working various shifts as assigned. Schedule assignments may include after-hours, weekends and holidays.
