As an Operational Excellence Manager (Opex Manager) at Phillips‑Medisize, you will be responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives and projects that drive meaningful operational change, with a strong focus on cost reduction, production process optimization, and product quality assurance. Your role will be critical in establishing and sustaining a robust culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across the organization.Our TeamYou will be part of the Operations organization, reporting directly to the General Manager. You will work cross‑functionally and collaboratively with multiple plant areas, supporting and enabling teams in the deployment of continuous improvement methodologies and the development of organizational capabilities.What You Will DoPlan, develop, execute, and follow up on continuous improvement projects using Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen methodologies. Lead initiatives focused on cost reduction, resource optimization, and the elimination of non‑value‑added activities. Present monthly reports to General Management and corporate stakeholders on project progress, cost savings, and achieved results. Develop and train team members participating in the continuous improvement process (Green Belts). Establish and strengthen systems and practices that promote a continuous improvement culture, such as 6S, LSW, Opex, and Gemba Walks. Implement actions to optimize time and motion, including SMED and Kaizen projects. Ensure proper management, tracking, and achievement of the plant’s continuous improvement objectives. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enable sustainable changes that positively impact key performance indicators such as OEE, COPQ, CIP, and MUV reduction. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. Minimum 4 years of experience in engineering, quality, or continuous improvement roles. Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen. Proven experience leading improvement, cost reduction, and process optimization projects. Ability to analyze data and apply statistical and industrial engineering tools. English proficiency, with the ability to read, communicate technical topics, and engage in fluent conversations. Availability to work rotating shifts and travel, based on business needs. What Will Put You AheadSix Sigma Black Belt certification. Experience implementing operational excellence systems and driving cultural transformation. Knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and environmental management systems. Experience working with cost‑savings indicators and delivering measurable financial results. Ability to influence, lead without direct authority, and work effectively in cross‑functional environments. Strong alignment with a culture of continuous improvement, leadership, and operational discipline.
