Opportunity: Kohler Bajío Location: San Luis de la Paz, GTO. Onsite BASIC FUNCTION: Under the supervision of the Project Specialist /CIC, this position is responsible for implementing the adequate manufacturing processes and continuous improvement projects aimed at achieving efficiency and productivity, reducing waste and cost, and improving working conditions using engineering techniques. Key tasks include updating standard times, performing 5S audits, and tracking KOS savings. Specific Responsibilities Develop cycle‑time reduction, worker effort, inventory reduction, and floor improvement activities to enhance work conditions and eliminate waste. Follow up on activities related to cycle‑time reduction, worker effort, inventory reduction, and floor improvement using 7 waste‑reduction forms. Analyze processes to determine adequate working conditions concerning space, layouts, lighting, breaks, manpower, tools, and equipment. Support completion of time studies and weight updates (slip weight, glaze weight, fired weight, pack weight) in both plants to determine product cost. Assist during KOS events and support all teams in applying methodology. Maintain standard work studies that are no older than one year. Participate in creating, analyzing, and implementing projects derived from Value Stream Mapping, Connection Maps, Standard Work, OEE%, SMED, 5S, Kanban, Capacity Analysis, and Time and Motion Studies. Update layouts in AutoCAD according to required changes. Maintain the Layered Process Audit, keeping it updated and standardized. Track KOS savings goals, report monthly savings, achieve goals, and create new lists annually. Support all plant areas in structural fabrication to improve productivity, safety, and quality (Kaizen Team). Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position. Relationships and Contacts Supervisory Relationships Reports to the Project Specialist (CIC). Organization Relationships Medium contact with process engineers and General Supervisors. Frequent contact with Quality personnel, the Accounting department, and Materials staff. Frequent contact with Corporate staff. External Relationships N/A Education Preference for a Bachelor Degree in Engineering. Experience Preference for two years of related experience. Formation Preference for understanding SAP and VIS systems, standard cost and BOM structure, and Lean tools. Bilingual (English & Spanish) is preferred.
