Your role This position is a hands‑on engineering leadership role, responsible for driving multiple global projects that advance our business objectives through the strategic implementation of AI‑based technical systems. You will lead the design, integration, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems for industrial automation, with a strong emphasis on leveraging artificial intelligence to optimize manufacturing processes. Your work will include developing and deploying machine learning models, automating quality control, and enabling predictive maintenance, ensuring our operations remain at the forefront of innovation. In addition, you will play a key role in a global IT system migration project, supporting the transition of legacy platforms. This will involve coordinating system testing, validation, and troubleshooting across multiple regions, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption to business operations. What you’ll be doing Project & Technical Leadership Expedite, manage, and coordinate interrelated systems activities across functions, within the constraints of human and financial resources and changing priorities. Participate in identifying and planning tasks, activities, and resourcing needs related to AI projects within the global manufacturing network. Successfully influence stakeholders and cross‑functional team members within projects. Initiate, develop and lead technical feasibility analysis for products or subsystems; translate customer/user needs to project needs. Propose and drive solutions to complex technical problems that are ambiguous and diverse in scope. Drive adherence to FDA, ISO, and IEC design control procedures, regulations and standards. AI, Software & Systems Integration Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless application deployments and system reliability. Leverage AI to eliminate time spent on common tasks and boilerplate code. Drive efficiency and standardization in the technologies, tools and techniques used by the team. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including plants, outside vendors and global teams to develop aligned goals and shared commitments. Drive technical integration by collaborating with cross‑functional teams to establish connectivity between other products and third‑party software. Implement business requirements by defining application interfaces based on needs identified and communicate specifications with the cross‑functional team and integration partners. Work with a cross‑functional team to resolve conflicts and drive decision making by working closely with plants and global teams. Collaborate with IT and operation teams for successful deployment and monitoring of AI applications. Participate in software development activities for application design, services, database design, platform upgrades, etc. Coordinate and drive execution of integration activities with the distributed global manufacturing network. Hardware Management & Logistics Assemble, configure, and test edge devices for deployment (Jetson devices, servers, cameras, sensors, etc.). Build relationships with hardware partners and systems integrators to streamline sourcing and coordinate field support. Lead on‑site device installations, hardware set‑up, and system validation. Perform physical mounting, sensor alignment, cabling, and PoE configuration. Ensure proper connectivity (RTSP, VPN, SSH) and integration with software. System Configuration & Support Manage network setup on Linux‑based edge devices (interface binding, static IPs, DHCP config). What you’ll bring Experience: 3–5 years professional experience in Python. 2+ years in Machine Learning and production deployment of ML models. Strong hands‑on skills with PyTorch, TensorRT, Python, and proficiency in JavaScript. Experience integrating with third‑party solutions. Familiarity with networking, DNS, and storage concepts. Strong Shell and Python scripting skills. Experience with source control tools like Git or Bitbucket. Familiarity with monitoring tools and logging frameworks. Passionate about continuous learning and leveraging modern technologies. Must be willing to work on a distributed team. A solution mindset, enthusiastic, strong, technical generalist. Familiarity with common data processing and computer vision frameworks (e.g., OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Proven project management experience as it relates to delivery timelines and commitments. Strong knowledge of APIs. Familiar with NoSQL and SQL databases, Serverless. Familiar with object detection, classification, segmentation, YOLO, VLMs, and SAM. Hands‑on hardware experience: You’ve worked with embedded devices (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson), industrial cameras, or similar hardware in field deployments. Computer vision experience: Familiarity with computer vision inference pipelines. Self‑starter: You operate with autonomy and know when to elevate versus when to fix it yourself. Problem‑solving mindset: You’re resourceful and calm when debugging issues on‑site under time constraints. Python and Bash scripting: Able to write scripts to automate routine tasks or customize device behavior. Linux and Networking Proficiency: Comfortable with system‑level debugging, interface configuration, and tools like nmcli, ifconfig, systemd, and Docker. Experience with PoE cameras (e.g., Basler, Lucid Vision) or IP camera configuration. Education Bachelors in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar and 8+ years of product development experience.
