Overview As a Database Developer , you will design, develop, and optimize scalable database solutions that support enterprise applications and analytics platforms. This role requires a strong balance between hands-on SQL development, data engineering practices, and problem-solving capabilities , working closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. What You’ll Do Design and develop database objects including tables, views, stored procedures, and functions. Write and optimize complex SQL queries for performance, scalability, and reliability. Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory (ADF), or similar . Develop and support reporting and analytics solutions using SSRS and SSAS . Participate actively in end-to-end development cycles , including design, development, testing, and deployment. Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams in an Agile environment . Troubleshoot complex data and performance issues, applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems. Document technical solutions and clearly communicate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. What You’ll Bring 5+ years of experience in database development (not only administration/support) . Strong expertise in SQL Server and advanced SQL (CTEs, window functions, query optimization). Proven experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and working with data transformation processes. Hands-on experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS . Solid understanding of data modeling and database design . Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills , with the ability to handle complex and nuanced scenarios. Experience working in Agile environments and participating in iterative development cycles. Familiarity with testing practices, validation frameworks, or data quality processes . Ability to clearly and confidently communicate technical concepts in a structured manner . Nice to Have Experience with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS). Knowledge of NoSQL databases. Exposure to modern data engineering tools or frameworks. Key Success Factors Demonstrates strong depth in SQL and database development , beyond operational DBA tasks. Brings hands-on experience in BI, reporting, and data engineering tools . Shows the ability to solve complex problems and explain solutions clearly .
