Position Description Responsible for on‑boarding EDI trading partners, including but not limited to developing integrations with back‑office systems, setting up EDI trading partner profiles in the EDI system, coordinating on‑boarding activities and supporting existing trading partner integrations. The role will require direct interaction with customers including independent pharmacies, hospitals, clinics and large retail chains. Candidates are required to interact with a variety of customer roles and their (third‑party) system support teams to evaluate business processes and design and implement EDI solutions to meet the customer’s needs. The EDI Implementation Specialist provides consultative services to customers, guiding customers to best‑practice integration solutions and ensuring integrations are mutually beneficial to all parties. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: 4+ years of EDI or related experience Critical Skills 4+ years of experience in EDI trading partner management in a distribution model including map development in Sterling Integration/ITXA, setting up communication channels with trading partner using B2BI Axway. 2+ years of experience preferred in pharma distribution industry. Experience interacting with customers on various levels including technical, business and management. Ability to tailor communications to the intended audience. Excellent customer communication skills, verbal and written. Good understanding of EDI transaction sets used in a distribution business, their function, structure and application (i.e. 850, 855, 832, 810 and 856). Knowledge of X12 transaction enveloping and addressing. Ability to evaluate a customer’s needs and provide recommendations on an integration strategy to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for client customers. Business analysis, problem solving, and strong customer service skills are required. Working knowledge of JD Edwards. Working knowledge of Unix & Shell scripting. Working knowledge in Axway B2Bi. Good understanding of communication protocols like AS2, SFTP. Additional Knowledge & Skills Project/program management skills. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical distribution or similar distribution businesses. Experience in Health Care industry. Experience with JIRA. Key Responsibilities Interface with the Customer Experience Operations organization and teams responsible for supporting back‑end systems such as SAP and the Connect web portal. EDI Specialists will rotate 24x7 on‑call responsibilities across their team. Support of automated transactional integrations with customer systems including pharmacy, Specialty/3PL and MMS market segments, ERP, Supply Chain and other third‑party software systems. Transaction research within a custom portal environment, comprised of a proprietary trading partner management system. Document pre‑ and post‑processor, map development in Sterling Integrator translator, Cyclone Interchange gateway and S/FTP mailboxes. Use JDE user interfaces to set up transactions for EDI receipt/delivery and to provide support for existing transaction integrations for trading partners.
