This full‑time role includes benefits. To be considered, you must have five or more years of experience in turbomachinery design with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or a related field. As a Design Engineer you will support multiple projects and be responsible for evaluating and developing designs from initial request through completion. The role requires collaboration with cross‑functional teams and effective communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Job Duties Lead the design of turbomachinery components and systems (brackets, ducts, tubes, hoses, harnesses) and perform activities requiring mechanical analysis, gas turbine engine component design, hand calculations, engineering documentation, component durability assessment, and engine manufacturing, build, and test. Implement product definition criteria in accordance with requirements for commercial attributes related to producibility/manufacturability. Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Plan, execute, and document the RCA process to identify causes of mechanical system failures, equipment malfunctions or performance issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions. Communicate complex technical data effectively to internal teams, external customers, and regulatory bodies through reports and presentations. Track project progress, report key developments, and address challenges to meet quality and schedule requirements. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Five or more years of engineering experience in gas turbine engines or turbomachinery, specialty on engine externals design and/or analysis. Knowledge of Stress, GD&T, basic stack‑ups and manufacturing processes. Ability to communicate complex technical data clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders, including customers and employees. Proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal). Ability to contribute in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications & Skills Experience with Teamcenter, TcVis Mockup, NX and Ansys.
