Senior SQL Server Database Administrator About the Role We are seeking a Senior SQL Server DBA with deep expertise in SQL Server to ensure optimal database performance, security, and availability. This role involves collaboration with multiple teams to meet business objectives and deliver high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate is highly skilled, proactive, and able to work independently with strong communication and organizational abilities. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 10+ years of SQL Server Database Administration experience. 8+ years of SQL language and Transact-SQL experience. Expertise in SQL Server Always on Availability Groups . Experience with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS . Familiarity with third-party backup solutions. Experience with SQL Server on Cloud platforms . Strong troubleshooting skills using native monitoring tools. Knowledge of SQL Server versions 2012 through 2022 , including upgrades. Proficiency in PowerShell automation . Excellent communication and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities Assess database health, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective resolutions. Ensure proactive monitoring, alerts, and maintenance to optimize system and application performance. Manage databases with a focus on security, scalability, and performance. Automate operational processes to improve efficiency. Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions for critical databases. Perform capacity planning to support business growth. Collaborate across functional teams and provide consultative guidance. Deploy database changes following established change management procedures. Evaluate and implement lifecycle management strategies. AI Skills Requirement: All contractor resources are expected to demonstrate baseline proficiency in enterprise-approved AI tools, including: Consistent Use: Maintain at least 90% weekly usage of AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot). Applied Productivity: Use AI to enhance coding, documentation, data analysis, and decision-making. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on AI capabilities and apply them to improve delivery quality and speed.
