Our clientis a leading U.S. fashion retailer, offering apparel, footwear, beauty, and home goods. It operates 350+ stores and robust online platforms, combining in-store and digital experiences. A full-stack engineer in this position will interact extensively with a US-based team of engineers, business partners, and product managers, as well as other contractors around the globe. The business problems this team solves are in the logistics and inventory control area of a big retailer. Some examples include Outbound Logistics, Reverse Logistics, Inventory Adjustments, and Inventory Counting. Our goal is to provide a great experience for our store employees by listening to their feedback and providing solutions for the ways they need to get work done. We develop, deploy and support software solutions as well as provide on-call support for our end users. Engineering Excellence: Build reusable components and ensure high performance and responsiveness across platforms. Write automated test and debug applications to ensure a seamless user experience. Partner with the team: Work closely with your peers, mentor junior developers, and help the team achieve its goals. Actively participate in Agile processes, contributing to sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives Monitoring and Observability: Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like New Relic and Splunk to ensure high system availability and performance. Containerization and Orchestration: Manage and deploy applications using Kubernetes, ensuring scalability and reliability of containerized workloads. Work with Cloud platforms like AWS to build and optimize cloud-native applications. Event Streaming and Messaging: Work with Kafka to enable real-time data streaming and event-driven architectures. Cloud Networking and Security: Familiarity with secure networking solutions and enforcing cloud security best practices, ensuring data integrity and compliance. Platform Upgrades & Migrations: Lead and execute application upgrades, platform migrations, and infrastructure updates with minimal downtime and impact on business operations.
