Overview Project Architect (Job Captain) - U.S. Projects Location: Remote (LATAM preferred) Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST What We’ll Offer / About the Role We are seeking a Project Architect (Job Captain) to lead the technical development and coordination of architectural documentation for U.S.-based projects. This is a hands-on, production-focused role where you will own the creation and coordination of construction documents, ensuring accuracy, code compliance, and readiness for permitting and construction. You will work closely with internal teams, consultants, and the Architect of Record (AOR) to translate design intent into clear, coordinated, and permit-ready drawing sets . This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable taking ownership of project documentation from concept through permit. Responsibilities Construction Documents & Technical Execution Lead the development of architectural construction documents from early design through permitting Produce high-quality, coordinated drawing sets using Revit and AutoCAD Ensure all documentation aligns with project scope, design intent, and technical standards Maintain consistency, clarity, and accuracy across all drawing packages Code Compliance & Permitting Ensure all documents comply with: U.S. building codes (IBC) Accessibility standards (ADA) Local zoning and jurisdictional requirements Prepare deliverables for permit submission, bidding, and approvals Coordinate closely with the Architect of Record (AOR) to support final reviews and stamping Coordination & Cross-Disciplinary Integration Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders Integrate architectural, structural, MEP, and site requirements into cohesive drawing sets Identify and resolve design conflicts or gaps early in the process Maintain alignment across all disciplines throughout project development BIM & Documentation Standards Apply and maintain strong BIM workflows and coordination practices Contribute to internal standards, templates, and documentation best practices Ensure models and drawings are organized, efficient, and scalable Core Requirements What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture 5+ years of experience working on U.S.-based projects Proven experience producing construction documents (required) Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (required) Deep understanding of BIM workflows and coordination Solid knowledge of: U.S. building codes (IBC) ADA compliance Zoning and permitting processes English proficiency at C1 level or higher Preferred Experience Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment Familiarity with early-stage development (feasibility, entitlements, pre-construction) Experience coordinating directly with AORs and consultants Success in This Role Looks Like Construction documents are accurate, complete, and permit-ready with minimal revisions Code compliance is proactively addressed—not reactive Coordination across disciplines is seamless and efficient Drawings are clear, organized, and easy for contractors and reviewers to interpret Projects move through permitting without unnecessary delays Key Traits for Success Highly detail-oriented with a strong technical mindset Proactive problem-solver who takes ownership of outcomes Strong communicator across technical and non-technical stakeholders Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with teams Organized, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities Compensation & Benefits Competitive monthly salary (based on experience) 100% remote work environment 10 vacation days + 7 sick days annually U.S. holidays observed Opportunities for growth within a scaling project team Collaborative and supportive team culture #J-18808-Ljbffr
