Overview Infosys – Java Architect In the role of Java Architect, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle (Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and design). You will play an important role in creating high-level design artifacts and developing and testing them. Location: Monterrey / Remote Responsibilities Lead the design of scalable, reliable, and high-performance Java applications, ensuring the architecture meets current and future business needs. Design and implement Java-based microservices and cloud-based solutions, leveraging Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS. Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot; build stand-alone, production-ready applications with minimal configuration. Integrate REST and SOAP services with Kafka; work with version control tools (GitHub) and CI tools with Git CICD. Work with relational and NoSQL databases (SQL/NoSQL, Postgres, MySQL). Perform unit, automation, and performance testing. Implement security with Spring Security, OAuth2, JWT, SSO, and RBAC to secure APIs. Participate in a global delivery environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent; or three years of progressive experience in lieu of every year of education. At least 10+ years of experience in Information Technology and 10+ years in full stack development with Java Spring Boot back-end REST services and events. Proficiency in Spring Boot for building RESTful APIs and microservices. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS. Experience with REST and SOAP services integration with Kafka. Experience with GitHub and CI/CD tools. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (Postgres, MySQL). Experience with testing frameworks: unit, automation, and performance testing. Knowledge of Microservices Architecture. Development experience with Kubernetes and Docker concepts. Experience integrating Spring Security for authentication, authorization, OAuth2, JWT, SSO, and RBAC. Experience with GitLab CI/CD and DevOps. Proficient in English communication. Experience with SDLC including Agile; ability to work in a global delivery environment and diverse stakeholder environments; experience in Retail – Supply Chain domain.
