We are currently partnering with a global organization looking to hire a highly hands‑on SAP ABAP Application Support Analyst to support and maintain SAP ECC and SAP S/4 environments from a technical and production support perspective. This is not a pure development or implementation role. The position is heavily focused on production support, technical troubleshooting, incident resolution, and operational stability across SAP ABAP‑based environments and custom developments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting ABAP objects in live production environments and be comfortable owning issues through full resolution while working closely with business users, functional teams, and technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities 1) SAP ABAP Support & Incident Resolution Provide day‑to‑day production and technical support for SAP ECC and SAP S/4 environments Support and troubleshoot: Custom programs, Reports, Enhancements, User exits, BADIs, Forms, Interfaces, IDocs, Workflows, Integrations Diagnose technical issues, perform impact analysis, and identify root causes Resolve incidents, defects, and service requests in a timely manner Coordinate with internal IT teams, SAP support resources, and external vendors when escalations are required 2) Ticket Management & Operational Support Manage workload and ticket queues through ServiceNow Monitor ticket activity and maintain accurate support documentation Ensure incidents and requests are handled within agreed service levels Coordinate directly with business stakeholders and IT partners to prioritize work based on operational impact and urgency Maintain clear communication throughout the ticket lifecycle 3) Technical Analysis & Business Support Work closely with: Business users, Functional analysts, Integration teams, SAP technical teams Investigate technical defects and system behavior Translate functional requirements into technical analysis and sustainable support solutions Support SAP‑enabled business processes through effective troubleshooting and technical problem‑solving 4) Problem Management & Continuous Improvement Analyze recurring technical issues and identify trends Recommend preventive solutions to reduce repeat incidents Create and maintain: Technical documentation, Knowledge articles, Troubleshooting guides, Support procedures, Object‑level support notes Participate in post‑incident reviews and continuous improvement initiatives 5) Testing, Change Support & Operational Readiness Support testing and validation activities related to: Bug fixes, Code changes, Enhancements, Transports, Patches, Upgrades Coordinate with Basis teams, developers, functional teams, and business users during validation and release activities Assist with deployment support and stabilization during implementations and post‑release periods Required Experience 5+ years of experience in: SAP Application Support, SAP Technical Support, SAP Production Support Strong experience supporting SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4 in an ABAP support capacity Hands‑on experience supporting: ABAP custom developments, Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows, Technical issue resolution Experience working with ticket management systems such as ServiceNow Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities Experience managing incidents, defects, and operational support requests Experience working directly with business stakeholders and managing support priorities Preferred Experience Experience with: Change management Testing and release support SAP ABAP or related SAP technical certifications are a plus, but not required Key Skills Strong technical understanding of SAP ECC and SAP S/4 ABAP support environments Strong knowledge of: Enhancements, Exits, BADIs, Forms, Reports, Interfaces, Workflows, Transport processes Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced production environments Strong understanding of support operations and service management practices Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently while collaborating across technical and business teams Strong technical documentation and organizational skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
