In This Role You Will Strengthen WebBeds’ position in the marketplace: you will be responsible for driving business growth to the company. This is mainly driven by understanding market opportunities and attracting new clients, proposing relevant solutions balancing growth and profitability. Key Responsibilities Identify market opportunities through meetings, networking, and other channels. Identify whitespace opportunities – regions or segments where WebBeds has low penetration. Support localization efforts (language, currency, product adaptation). Provide frontline feedback to sourcing teams on client needs and gaps. Collaborate with sourcing to ensure the hotel portfolio meets demand in target markets. Structure and negotiate commercial agreements and overrides with clients. Monitor competitor activity, identify threats and opportunities, share market intelligence internally. Mentor and support junior sales team members. Analyse data, conduct due diligence, negotiate deals, and work to ensure a smooth integration of the client and WebBeds, managing full sales cycle – from prospecting to closing deals. Attend events such as exhibitions and conferences. Prepare sales presentations to introduce WebBeds to potential clients. With the support of the Vice President of Sales, the New Business Development Director will define plans, strategies, and opportunities to increase WebBeds presence in the market. Collaborate with internal teams including commercial technology and strategy, finance and customer service to onboard new clients and ensuring the process flows as planned. Prepare internal and external presentations utilizing data and analysis to highlight trends and opportunities, conduct market research and competitive analysis. Identify upselling opportunities across WebBeds portfolio. Ensure high level of client satisfaction and retention. Qualifications Fluent in English and Spanish, including both written and spoken communications skills. Commercial background. Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Excel, required; Knowledge of relevant BI Tools (Power BI etc) highly beneficial. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyze customer activity against expected behaviour or trends and act as needed. Adaptability: ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and requirements. Strong organizational skills: ability to keep track of multiple projects and deadlines. Detail‑oriented and results‑driven: ability to work mostly independently and with attention to detail, driven by targets and unlocking business opportunities. Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal, presentation, facilitation and listening skills comfortable addressing opportunities and concerns both internal and external. Strong collaboration skills: natural team player who is curious, energetic and motivated by collaborating with members of sourcing, finance, technology and optimization teams. Strong knowledge of travel industry, especially Mexico and Central America: experience in a B2B sales environment required with a background in OTA or travel wholesale desired; understanding the travel industry distribution and the specific challenges and opportunities it presents is a plus. Experience with analytics and data‑driven decision making: ability to derive commercial decisions and storytelling from data insights and projections. Availability to travel from time to time.
