Overview Amazon is hiring an Operations Manager in Last Mile Execution to focus on safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of the operation. Responsibilities Manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Last Mile Operation in the North Region, overseeing the Under the Roof (UTR) process that delivers Amazon orders directly to customers. Set and communicate performance goals, establish expectations, and ensure accuracy and quality to meet customer promise expectations. Lead a team of Delivery Station Managers, conducting meetings, training, assigning duties, and providing periodic performance feedback. Partner with the AMZL Delivery Station On the Road (OTR) management team to maintain quality control standards. Identify and lead process improvement initiatives using Lean tools. Provide tactical leadership for strategic initiatives and coordinate cross‑functional tasks. Communicate across departments to align goals and tasks, ensuring overall program success. Forecast and plan strategically to appraise performance and resolve problems. Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, including data gathering, analysis, and forward‑looking supply‑chain approaches. Support safety programs, ensuring a safe environment for associates and delivery service providers. Support a team of OTR and Delivery Service Providers in weekly management of the last mile operation, including meetings, training, data analysis, metric reviews, and communication with DSPs. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Minimum 2+ years of employee and performance management experience. At least 1 year of experience with performance metrics or process improvement using Lean techniques. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
