Job Overview Assists more senior engineers in implementing manufacturing techniques, processes, tools and machinery in order to optimize quality and output levels. Responsibilities Execute Machine Safety Lifecycle according to international standards. Train TE engineers and technicians in Functional Safety according to international standards. Program PLCs, HMI, Robots, Servomotors and Machine Vision Systems for new machine builds according to customer requirements. Optimize existing PLCs, HMI, Robots, Servomotors and Machine Vision programs to reduce downtimes, improve quality or reduce manufacturing cycle time. Document PLCs, HMI, Robots, Servomotors and Machine Vision Systems schematics of new automated machines built. Conduct Proof of Concepts and Design of Experiments to test automation concepts or test new pieces of technology. Research and document the manufacturing automation state of art and identify the technologies with high scale up potential in TE manufacturing sites and distribution centers. Innovate and implement solutions on manufacturing processes to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery or Cost. Train others in the core competences of Process Automation to contribute in speeding up technology adoption rates and increasing productivity in all TE sites around the globe. Required Background Practical knowledge in Functional Safety for manufacturing machines. Controls Engineering educational background. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Travel required around 25% - 50%. Hybrid position.
