Position: Packaging TechnologistLocation: Monterrey, Reciente León Summary Responsible for developing, validating, and implementing new packaging products for finished goods based on customer requirements and plant guidelines. Recognizes opportunities on raw material supplier's packaging to optimize costs and handling while maintaining quality. Generates packaging information for the development of new packaging designs and new packaging. Supports the correct follow-up of innovative and sustainable projects of the company. Major Duties & Responsibilities Develop, validate, and implement new packaging products for finished goods based on customer requirements and plant guidelines. Ensure packaging products meet set requirements and specifications. Generate packaging plant procedures, specs, and standards for new product developments. Create cost packaging for new developments. Define net weight and sizing for new developments. Define correct configuration of stack pattern. Assist in validating correct packaging in new product trials. Run trials to check packaging suitability and test performance under various conditions. Build business relationships with technical packaging suppliers. Contact cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers to support design and new packaging topics. Evaluate and select packaging items with suppliers. Supply packaging information to generate primary and secondary labeling. Review and validate packaging information in each primary and secondary labeling developed that involves design. Sign and coordinate the correct process flow starting with the design development, contact with the supplier to obtain the mechanical plan until set up in our ERP system. Attend packaging print runs when required. Recognize opportunities on raw material supplier's packaging to optimize costs and handling while maintaining quality. Support identification, development, implementation, and follow-up of improvement and/or cost savings/avoidance in packaging projects. Evaluate and select new packaging suppliers. Evaluate packaging proposals focused on sustainable packaging aspirations of the company. Knowledge and Experience Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in food packaging. Knowledge of print production and understanding of file setup and printing parameters. Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel. Advanced English skills.
