Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage Fortinet firewall solutions (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer) Lead architecture and configuration of secure network environments (on‑prem and cloud) Develop and maintain firewall policies, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), and segmentation strategies Perform advanced troubleshooting for network and security incidents Optimize firewall performance, high availability (HA), and failover configurations Conduct security assessments, audits, and compliance checks Integrate Fortinet solutions with SIEM, endpoint security, and other tools Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network/security teams Document configurations, standards, and procedures Stay current with Fortinet technologies, firmware updates, and threat landscape Required Qualifications 8–10+ years of experience in network security engineering Mandatory the Fortinet Certifications from NSE 1 to NSE 7 (the full path excepting NSE 8) or the full equivalent in the new certification path. Mandatory English-intermediate -advance speaking person E+ and above. Mandatory candidate must live in Mexico City and be available for customer facing meetings once a week Deep expertise with Fortinet products: FortiGate FortiManager FortiAnalyzer Strong knowledge of: TCP/IP, routing (BGP, OSPF), VLANs VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN) Network segmentation and Zero Trust principles Hands‑on experience with firewall policy design and optimization Experience in high‑availability and large‑scale environments Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Preferred Qualifications Fortinet TAM (Technical Account Manager) on the manufacturer company. Knowledge of SD‑WAN (Fortinet Secure SD‑WAN preferred) Familiarity with SIEM tools Experience with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR) Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc.) Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Scripting/automation experience (Python, Ansible, Terraform) Exposure to penetration testing Multi‑vendor firewall experience (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Check Point) Soft Skills Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to explain complex security concepts to non‑technical audiences Proactive problem‑solving mindset Leadership and mentoring capabilities Note: Hiring is subject to technical evaluation in addition to complying with the Fortinet certifications path.
