Strategic Student Program (SSP) – IT Local Support Intern Job ID: Employment Type: Part-time, Hybrid (Remote/Office), Fixed Term Country: Mexico Organization: Siemens Industry Software Inc. The primary goal for the IT Local Support intern is to learn how IT operates in a large corporation by taking ownership of customer issues and seeing problems through to resolution. Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem Track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits Talk clients through a series of actions until they’ve solved a technical issue Properly escape unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software developers) Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers Refer to internal databases or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions Ensure all issues are properly logged Prioritize and manage several open issues at one timeFollow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals Requirements: Active university student with graduation date between August 2027 and December 2027 Availability to work Half-time English language – advanced proficiency Engineering major with interest in IT Good communication skills and ability to work in a customer-facing role Potential for full-time offers after university graduation and completion of the program We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
