Role Responsibilities This Director, Digital Product role is responsible for driving digital growth across the company’s LACA remittance business by creating, delivering, and managing a corridor‑driven product roadmap. The director owns the end‑to‑end digital experience for sender, including digital wallet capabilities, and is accountable for increasing transaction volume, revenue and customer lifetime value across priority corridors. The role blends product leadership, customer insight, regulatory navigation, and market/product expansion. It requires deep understanding of LACA customer behaviors and the ability to translate corridor‑level insights into differentiated digital product experiences that drive repeat usage and long‑term engagement. The director owns the LACA digital product roadmap with explicit accountability for corridor‑level growth and profitability. The director defines and scales digital wallet strategy as a core component of the LACA product ecosystem, including embedded financial solutions to drive loyalty and deeper engagement. The director prioritizes features that increase frequency, retention, and lifetime value by corridor; partners with regional business leaders to align go‑to‑market strategies to drive revenue, transactions and customer retention; continuously assesses corridor and wallet performance to dynamically adjust roadmap priorities; drives wallet adoption, activation and repeat usage across LACA; establishes corridor‑level and wallet‑specific KPIs to define product contribution to digital growth; optimizes digital funnels from customer registration/login to transaction; leads cross‑functional delivery of key initiatives; localizes and optimizes the global platform capabilities to specifically serve the needs of the LACA customer; serves as the primary LACA product leader representing corridor and wallet priorities in global forums; owns the end‑to‑end digital customer experience, including wallet onboarding, and ensures the experiences meet market requirements for speed, reliability and ease; partners with compliance and risk teams to ensure features comply with LACA local country regulations; ensures risk controls, fraud prevention and transaction monitoring are properly embedded into product design; collaborates with operations to minimize customer support issues; leads and develops a LACA focused product team responsible for regional product performance; and communicates progress, performance and trade‑offs clearly to executive stakeholders. Role Requirements 12+ years of experience leading B2C digital payments, remittance, wallet or digital banking products within regulated financial services Background in payments (preferred) Proven success scaling digital wallet solutions in LACA Strong background in fintech, payments, cross‑border remittances, digital wallets or regulated financial services Impeccable understanding of data and metrics, exercising high‑quality, data‑driven decisioning Strong collaboration skills Ability to build trust and negotiate with teams across different seniority levels and functions, including product, design, technology, marketing, compliance, business development and sales, and geographies Experience building high‑performing teams Proven success developing, coaching, and mentoring diverse talent, and serving as a rolemodel across global cross‑functional teams Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills Work Shift HYBRID – Western Union values in‑person collaboration, problem solving and ideation whenever possible. The expectation is to work from the office a minimum of three days a week.
