Overview Develop the knowledge and learn TDW processes to effectively liaise with customers and internal clients to prepare quotes, orders and customer complaints of TDW product &/or services to ensure exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities Manage the processing of orders in a timely and accurate manner, including determining appropriate TDW part numbers, change order maintenance, establishing or negotiating delivery dates with Master Scheduling/Manufacturing, and order expediting. Network with other TDW functions to enable effective coordination of all customer issues such as complaints, inquiries, literature, plant tours, shipment tracing, and customer inspections, ensuring a timely response through priority management of open issues. Develop and maintain personal communications expertise (telephone, e‑mail, written documents, oral activities) and communication system expertise within the department to address customers and broaden intracompany communications. Train to prepare quotes by interpreting customer line specifications/requirements from RFPs, TDW fitting/services inquiry forms and scope documents, translating them into services and product requirements. Process orders with accurate pricing and part numbers in a timely manner. Interpret completed data questionnaires from clients and identify suitable products or services. Develop understanding of scope of work laid out by the customer/OSR and input required deliverables into quote. Learn and communicate TDW manufacturing and/or services processes to customers and colleagues. Assist customers and colleagues in defining which TDW products or services best address operational requirements. Search appropriate TDW databases (CRM, Product Selector, ISR created parts list, OLDs) to find suitable designs. Use and enforce TDW operational procedures, including acceptable terms and conditions, to customers and outside sales. Develop pricing knowledge and quote preparation per TDW policies and guidelines. Ensure accuracy of bill‑to and ship‑to addresses, review orders for credit terms, and submit to TDW Credit department for approval. Convert quotes to sales orders in systems such as CRM, WSGP, AX as appropriate. Make price adjustments as directed. Keep outside sales representatives apprised of any customer request changes. Work with the customer to negotiate shipping terms and methods. Collaborate with Shipping and/or TMP Production Planning to ensure proper delivery. Provide accurate and clear information to Engineering, Production Control, and Logistics. Confirm with supervisor that the customer’s technology and service requirements have been correctly identified and commit TDW resources to ensure quality execution and satisfaction. Ensure all correspondence and communication with customers are professional and accurate. Coordinate with other departments to meet delivery requirements. Utilize other ISR’s to identify appropriate TDW departments for coordination and resolution of all customer issues such as change orders, complaints, returns, repairs, and literature requests. Participate in projects as assigned by the supervisor or region leader. Learn all TDW products: obsolete, current, and new releases. Stay current on industry codes, market trends, and competitive advantages. Experience Degree in business or engineering discipline required. Alternative: 3–5 years current experience as a Jr. Inside Sales Representative with an associate degree; or 5 years experience in design, field services, manufacturing, or Jr. ISR with TDW. Alternative: 5–7 years industry experience in design, field service, or manufacturing with other companies may substitute for the BS degree. Vocational training in business, engineering, or pipe trades discipline, or equivalent experience of 5–7 years of technical sales experience required. 3–5 years of experience in Technical Inside Sales position or related field. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent interpersonal, customer service, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to learn and develop a working understanding of mechanical products and functions along with engineering terminology and industry design codes. Ability to develop a broad understanding of TDW products and equipment. Ability to excel in a fast‑paced environment dealing with customer situations. Intermediate computer skills including MS Excel required. Experience with CRM/ERP database an asset. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under strict deadlines.
