Job Purpose: Provides configuration and support for Windows, Linux, AIX, other server operating systems, and storage in highly virtualized on-premise data centers as well as in the cloud.Ensures code patches are up to date in order to deliver stable and secure operations.Supports project delivery in areas of strong knowledge and places high priority on learning more.May participate in on-call rotations related to critical services in multiple countries. Responsibilities: Provides operational support for server and storage components and services with assistance from more senior engineers in critical and/or complex situations.Examples include servers, storage systems, email solutions, and intranet solutions. (35%) Performs routine server and storage hardware and software configuration for projects, and limited programming to meet client and project requirements.(35%) Creates and maintains technical documentation, asset inventories and configuration information. (10%) Analyzes vendor invoices for accuracy, maintains inventory and orders equipment (10%) Seeks and leverages opportunities to expand knowledge and skill base (10%) Knowledge, Skills and Experience: 1 to 3 Years of relevant work experience. Technical with Systems Engineering or Related field of study required. Other Education / Certifications: VMWare VCA-DBT, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Windows Server Administration Fundamentals, MTA Database Fundamentals Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed. Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency. Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information. Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion. Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines. Able to maintain and promote social, ethical, and organizational standards in conducting internal and external business activities. Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Able to build solid, effective working relationships with others. Able to quickly learn new systems and technology. Able to use relevant computer system applications at an advanced level. Working Conditions: Consistent non-standard work or overtime as business requires. On-call availability required as necessary.
