Overview The Security Manager oversees all physical security, asset protection, and risk‑mitigation operations for a high‑volume manufacturing campus in Nogales, Sonora. The role ensures the safety of employees, protection of company assets, compliance with Mexican regulations, and alignment with corporate security standards. Responsibilities Physical Security & Facility Protection : develop, implement, and maintain the site’s physical security program, including CCTV, access control, intruder alarm, and visitor management systems; develop perimeter protection and local procedures; conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits; oversee contracted guard operations. Personnel Safety & Incident Response : assist the Site Emergency Manager in emergency and incident response planning; coordinate drills and training; act as incident commander for security‑related events; manage investigations involving theft, misconduct, and safety violations. Supply Chain & Cross‑Border Security : oversee security of inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring compliance with CTPAT, OEA, and corporate standards; monitor cargo‑theft trends; support cross‑border shipments and customs requirements. Risk Management & Intelligence : monitor local and regional security conditions; provide executive briefings and risk assessments to leadership. Leadership & Stakeholder Coordination : manage and develop the security guard team; serve as liaison with police, national guard, customs authorities, and industrial park administration; collaborate with facilities, HR, operations, EHS, and legal. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in security management, criminal justice, business administration, or related field. 5+ years of experience in corporate, industrial, or manufacturing security in Mexico. Strong knowledge of Mexican labor law, Protección Civil, and supply‑chain security programs (CTPAT/OEA). Experience managing guard forces and security technology systems and conducting investigations with clear reports. Bilingual: Spanish (native/advanced) and English (proficient). Preferred Skills Experience in maquiladora/IMMEX manufacturing environments. Experience with the U.S. Department of State, OSAC chapter, and related certifications such as CPP, PSP, CPO. Familiarity with U.S.–Mexico border operations and customs processes. Experience working with multinational companies and cross‑border leadership teams. U.S. Visa that allows entry to the United States; U.S. Customs and Border Protection SENTRI status. Key Competencies Strong decision‑making under pressure. High integrity and confidentiality.
