The Role The Production Engineer is responsible for achieving production goals while ensuring full compliance with safety, health, quality, environmental and operational standards. The role oversees people, equipment, materials and processes to guarantee safe, efficient, and continuous operations in the assigned area. What You’ll Do Lead start‑of‑shift meetings, reinforcing safety messages, correct PPE use, and team engagement. Stop any activity that may present unsafe conditions or behaviors, protecting people, equipment, materials and product quality. Approve special work permits (hot work, heights, confined spaces, energy‑related tasks) ensuring requirements are met. Audit first‑piece approvals, operating conditions, and proper equipment release. Conduct Safetrack observations, correct deviations immediately, and coach employees; record findings in the system. Collect information for incident investigations and apply the appropriate escalation process. Ensure correct identification and handling of non‑conforming product. Ensure compliance with production schedules and elevate any deviations that may affect continuity. Follow ISO 14001 procedures for the area and act correctly in case of environmental emergencies. Ensure seamless shift‑change transitions with zero minutes lost. Lead high‑performance teams and ensure achievement of KPIs aligned with company values. Oversee equipment care, maintenance work orders, and timely closure of tasks. Manage administrative tasks: attendance, payroll exceptions, vacation planning, and personnel schedules. Strengthen EAD team maturity: scorecards, action plans, meeting effectiveness, and skills certification. Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Gemba, Green Belt, and other methodologies. What Success Looks Like Production targets consistently met with safety and quality as top priorities. Stable operations with minimal downtime and effective shift transitions. High compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards. Strong team engagement, capability development, and reliable execution of standard work. Effective root‑cause analysis and implementation of sustainable corrective actions. High‑performing EAD teams progressing toward maturity. Experience as Production Supervisor or in operational roles within metal‑mechanic, automotive, chemical, or similar industries. Knowledge of: Statistical Process Control ISO standards: 14001, 18001, 45001; IATF 16949 Safety programs: STOP, Toma 2, SafeTrack Inventory control SAP / QAD Lean Manufacturing: 5S, QCO, Standard Work, Kanban TPM Battery manufacturing processes (preferred) English proficiency: 80%. Work Model & Travel On‑site position in manufacturing operations. Rotating shifts required. No travel required.
