As an Oracle Database Engineer (DBA) you will plan, coordinate and administer database functions, documentation, upgrades, lifecycle, long‑range requirements, operational guidelines and data protection. You will work with Micron’s Business Units to ensure solutions meet or exceed business requirements and keep the database up and running smoothly 24/7. Responsibilities Ensure performance, security, and availability of all databases / Implement common database procedures (upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.) Investigate and fix database‑related issues, including connectivity problems and performance degradation. Collaborate with development teams to design efficient and scalable database structures. Provide timely resolution and root‑cause analysis for incidents. Collaborate with multi‑functional teams to support application development. Provide technical guidance and support to developers and end‑users / Prepare SOE and Runbook documentation and specifications. Participate in setting objectives, strategies, plans, performance standards/measures and procedures. Follow Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) procedures/compliance for SOX‑in‑scope databases. Minimum Qualifications B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience. At least 8 years of managing Oracle databases at versions 19c & 23ai. Excellent problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Good communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to plan resource requirements from high‑level specifications. Experience implementing and maintaining large‑scale OLTP and OLAP systems (Oracle Multitenant, Oracle RAC, etc.). Hands‑on experience in Oracle Database Performance Tuning. Solid experience in database upgrades and host migrations. Preferred Qualifications Proactive and reactive performance analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis for critical business operations. Solid experience in RMAN backup, restore & recovery. Willingness to learn other database technologies (InfluxDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL, etc.). Experience with Ansible automation for database provisioning and management. Experience designing and automating repetitive processes. Good hands‑on scripting, preferably PowerShell on Linux. Basic understanding of PL/SQL stored procedures and packages. Oracle Certified Associate, Professional or Master (OCA, OCP, OCM) certification.
