Overview As Mechanical Engineering Coordinator you are responsible for leading a team that determines the best line configuration of process and tooling to assure the assembly plant maintains safety, quality, and efficiency in production lines and the resources around them. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Own the department’s Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and follow established governance with the team; generate the 3P Plan (3PP) and adjust if KPIs are not met. Develop strong relationships with peers and stakeholders inside and outside the plant to increase synergy and remove misalignment roadblocks. Ensure standard work for Industrial Engineers leads to documentation/fixtures/tools being available, updated, in good condition, and useful for operators. Manage process and procedure documentation; ensure all team members follow standard work based on available documentation. Ensure new processes, machines, tools, and workstations meet defined Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, and productivity standards; promote and ensure timely completion of risk assessments (Enablon/PFMEA) and closure of CAPA/PSP using root cause analysis. Lead problem-solving initiatives across the assembly plant using PSP and DMAIC methodologies. Lead participation to sustain and maintain management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 9001). Create succession plans to develop top talent and support sustainable growth of the organization. Ensure team members participate in NPD governance and deliver weekly/monthly outputs with high quality. Contribute to department strategy development and ensure required governance is scheduled and followed to support initiative success. Lead and coordinate Capital and Operational Expenses to meet forecasted budgets. Enforce BRP policies and administer disciplinary actions when required. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required Engineering degree (Industrial or Mechanical). Fluent bilingual in English and Spanish (oral and written). Strong ability to generate alignment across teams and stakeholders. Open to receive and provide feedback. Positive, inspiring leader with strong root cause analysis skills.
