Our operations focus on the manufacturing of speed, position, and magnetic sensor solutions used in the automotive industry worldwide. What are we looking for? The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes for automotive sensor fabric products to ensure high quality, operational efficiency, cost control, and compliance with automotive industry standards. This position supports continuous improvement initiatives, production reliability, and new product implementation while driving safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction across manufacturing operations at QST Solutions. Activities of the position Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes for automotive sensor fabric production. Analyze workflow, equipment performance, labor utilization, and material flow to improve operational efficiency. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis methodologies. Support new product launches, process validations, and production scale-up activities. Create and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, PFMEA, control plans, and process flow diagrams. Collaborate with Quality, Production, Maintenance, and R&D teams to resolve manufacturing and product issues. Monitor production KPIs, including yield, scrap, downtime, cycle time, and OEE. Conduct troubleshooting and corrective actions for process deviations and equipment issues. Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of process engineering experience in manufacturing environments. Experience in automotive, electronics, textiles, technical fabrics, or sensor manufacturing preferred. Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles. Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, 8D, and root cause analysis tools. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing data analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced production environment. Preferred Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Experience with automated manufacturing systems and process validation. Familiarity with conductive textiles, laminated materials, or sensor integration processes. Knowledge of automotive customer requirements and APQP processes.
