We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle PL/SQL Support Analyst with 8–10 years of experience supporting and enhancing Oracle-based production systems. This role is critical to ensuring system stability, resolving complex incidents, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The position also involves mentoring junior team members and collaborating closely with business and cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities Provide Level 3 (L3) production support for Oracle/PL/SQL-based applications, ensuring high system availability and performance. Lead investigation and resolution of complex production incidents within defined SLAs. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes to prevent recurrence. Design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL components , including packages, procedures, functions, and triggers. Perform SQL performance tuning and database optimization to improve efficiency and scalability. Support batch processing, data loads, and end‑of‑day/month‑end operations . Execute data corrections and reconciliations with appropriate approvals and audit compliance. Review code changes, deployment scripts, and provide production readiness validation . Collaborate with business users, QA teams, developers, and DBAs to resolve issues and deliver enhancements. Participate in release management, deployments, and post‑release support activities . Mentor and guide junior team members , promoting best practices and knowledge sharing. Develop and maintain support documentation , including SOPs, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides. Participate in on‑call and weekend support rotations as required. Required Technical Skills 8–10 years of strong hands‑on experience in Oracle PL/SQL development and support . Advanced expertise in: Complex SQL queries (joins, subqueries, analytical/window functions) PL/SQL programming (packages, cursors, collections, bulk processing) Exception handling, debugging, and troubleshooting Solid experience working in production support environments . Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture . Proven expertise in performance tuning and query optimization . Good understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes . Preferred / Good‑to‑Have Skills Experience with Unix/Linux commands and basic shell scripting. Familiarity with ETL processes and batch scheduling tools . Exposure to ITIL processes and frameworks . Experience using tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy . Proficiency with Oracle tools (Toad, SQL Developer, Oracle Enterprise Manager). Knowledge of cloud database platforms or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a plus. Core Competencies Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills .
