About the Position Aurora Energy Research is looking for people with passion for the energy sector to join our Research team in Mexico. We are seeking recent graduates; prior professional experience is not necessarily required for this role. Based in Mexico City (CDMX), you will develop rigorous quantitative analyses and convey insights to enhance clients’ decision‑making. You will engage in all aspects of client engagement: identifying issues, forming hypotheses, conducting analysis, and synthesizing conclusions into recommendations. Department & Location Department: ResearchLocation: Mexico City, Mexico Key Responsibilities Develop timely and rigorous quantitative analyses to enhance clients’ decision making. Work closely with the modelling team, structuring economic problems into quantifiable analyses and deriving insights from the model results. Contribute to Aurora’s product development by identifying new opportunities and expanding our capabilities. Engage with clients to thoroughly understand their requirements. Communicate findings to clients. Required Attributes No previous professional experience is required. We are looking for people interested in the energy sector or consulting (strategy, economic, or financial). Degree in a quantitative subject (Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, Finance) with a strong academic record and outstanding GPA. Interest in or knowledge of power markets and associated policy frameworks. Ability to collect, analyze and interpret complex quantitative data and information. Evidence of strong performance in team‑oriented environments. Ability to communicate and collaborate with both technical and non‑technical parties. Proficiency in English (C1 level). Written and spoken fluency in Spanish (C2 level). Desirable Attributes Interest in the Mexican market and energy markets in general.
