Job Overview The Forklift Operator is responsible for receiving, storing, and transporting raw materials, packaging materials, supplies and finished goods, ensuring they are available in time for production or shipping. The operator may also perform stock counts and control activities, support inventory management, and carry out routine equipment servicing and basic checks on materials. Responsibilities Receive and inspect raw materials and goods; check appearance and shipping documents, report defects, and record receipts in the system. Store raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and pallets in prescribed locations, ensuring safety requirements are met. Conduct inventory counts, compare with administrative inventory, detect deviations, and report discrepancies. Transport materials to and from production departments according to planning, preventing product accumulation. Operate a manually‑controlled rider‑type forklift truck, using forks or other lifting devices, transporting materials safely within the warehouse or plant. Perform manual operational activities and basic checks (weight, size, visual checks), signaling deviations to supervisors. Maintain rolling stock and other equipment; keep the workplace clean and tidy. Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and company standards, reporting non‑compliance and hazardous or unsafe situations. Communicate with supervisors and colleagues: report defects, discuss work, and provide information when requested. Support operations in any other duties required by the company. Qualifications & Requirements Valid forklift operating licence and experience operating a rider‑type forklift. Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, packing slips, and work orders. Strong attention to detail, inventory awareness, and a safety‑first mindset. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a production team. Physical capability to lift, move, and operate equipment safely. Knowledge of basic maintenance practices for forklift and warehouse equipment.
