Position Summary The Customer Care Advocate I serves as the primary contact for customer inquiries regarding orders, quotes, product questions, and other support. This role ensures a seamless experience by owning issues, collaborating across departments, and responding quickly. Responsibilities Handle internal and external customer inquiries, quotes, and orders following standard operating procedures. Build strong customer relationships and deliver customer‑centric solutions. Support corporate initiatives to overserve customers and provide an effortless experience. Plan and prioritize daily work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals. Resolve standard customer escalations, aiming for first‑contact resolution when possible. Collaborate with internal teams and Distribution Center operations to ensure timely order management and shipping, addressing issues such as damaged, late, or incorrect products. Participate in department training initiatives. Record calls for training and quality purposes. Qualifications High School diploma required; college degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Two years of professional customer care experience preferred. Proficiency in keyboard typing (≈45+ words per minute). Experience with business tools: SharePoint, MS Teams, Windows operating systems. Basic to intermediate Excel skills. Experience with Oracle, SAP, or other ERP systems. Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics. Experience navigating corporate websites and eCommerce platforms. Mechanical or technical aptitude preferred. Patience, approachability, and teamwork in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. Adaptability, resourcefulness, and strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to manage daily workload and demonstrate leadership competencies: customer focus, action orientation, planning and alignment, conflict management, and effective communication.
