Reporting to the Supplier Development Manager, you as a Supplier Development Engineer will be responsible for ensuring robust material quality through a solid material qualification process, driving and improving supplier performance and quality incidents, and maintaining Supplier DPPM. About The Job Work with and support Procurement’s strategy in establishing a supply base capable of meeting the requirements from various BUs across the entire company. Provide early involvement to support activities related to suppliers and materials. Support supplier and material‑related changes from a category‑management perspective. Identify worst‑performed suppliers, work with the affected supplier to develop and implement a “get‑well” plan until the supplier improves performance. Develop and build good relationships with suppliers. Support customer PPAP and establish a robust material qualification process. Track and report SDE metrics (NPD Incident Rate, Critical Risk Supplier List, Supplier on‑site audits, Category DPPM). Work with suppliers and internal cross‑functional teams to drive and implement improvement actions. Support and work with plant SQE to ensure consistent material quality supply to operations. About You Bachelor or university degree in Engineering. Minimum 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality / Supplier Development. Experience with ISO IATF and familiarity with five core tools – FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA. Knowledge of VDA 6.3 auditing. Ability to analyze data. Advanced knowledge of MS Office and basic knowledge of SAP. Good follow‑up skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Result oriented. Problem‑solving skills. Attention to detail. Green Belt training. Black Belt (desired). Proficient English – 85 % minimum in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
