We are searching for the best talent for Customs Analyst II to be in Juarez City. Responsibilities Prepares Import/Export reports to comply with Mexico and US regulations and internal needs. Coordinate the general documentation for import-export, to comply with the legal requirements for Mexico and US Customs. Represents the company in all customs matters related to Mexico Customs and other government agencies in Mexico. Ensures and anticipates compliance of Mexican government requirements, reviews changes and analyses impact related to customs laws and regulations and ensures correct implementation. Ensures compliance with internal customs yearly forecast as well as financial analysis and reports related to budget. Analyzes, reviews and controls import/export balances and reconciles customs documents versus perpetual records. Ensures all applicable permits and licenses are transacted in a timely and accurate manner. Ensures all certificates of origin are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Analyzes all the bill of materials to determine the origin of products and updates the customs system database. Ensures FDA codes are in place when required for articles imported to the US. Loads FDA data into the customs system. Requests and controls the chain of custody letters for the FDA. Updates data in the customs system. Conducts periodic audits or reviews of information loaded or updated into the customs system. Ensures implementation of changes related to SAAI and SQL in the customs system. Ensures procurement of department supplies and resources. Provides training as needed to customers and associates. Ensures proper record keeping and archiving of customs documents according to regulations and company policies and procedures. Performs necessary actions and coordinates timely and secure flow of new product lines and transfers. Coordinates external audits of customs department activities. Continuously reviews and updates internal controls and requirements related to international business operations of the company. Follows all company safety policies and other safety precautions within the work area, ensures compliance with environmental management system responsibilities, and is responsible to comply with company policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal regulations related to customs activity. Follows J&J and EES records management policies for convenience information, records retention schedules, training and education, document hold notices, records cleanout, inactive records and information management, vital records and third–party vendor if applicable. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Customs Administration, Law, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or Commercial Relations (required). Generally requires 2-4 years of work experience. Experience in the medical device industry or medical field. Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices and procedures. Knowledge of specific business practices and software applications. Experience using medical device equipment. Ability to enter data on spreadsheets and database applications. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse clientele base. Experience maintaining ledgers and other fiscal documents. Ability to work cooperatively with coworkers and the public. Ability to perform duties in accordance with policies and procedures and to comply with civil rights requirements. Bilingual in English and Spanish. GMP and ISO knowledge. Knowledge of U.S./Mexico customs laws and regulations and foreign trade practices. Green Belt certification preferred. Leadership skills. Verbal and written communication proficiency.
