We are looking for an experienced Network Specialist to join our Global IT Infrastructure & Operations organization. As part of a dedicated networking team, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our global network environment. You will work closely with colleagues across multiple locations to maintain high availability, drive optimization, and support ongoing infrastructure improvements. About the Role As a Network Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving our network infrastructure. Responsibilities Provide 2nd line support for network-related incidents across global sites, including advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization. Monitor, maintain, and improve LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and software-defined network (SDN) environments. Configure, administer, and support network hardware, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless controllers, and load balancers. Fulfill network service requests, ensuring proper prioritization based on severity, business impact, and operational urgency. Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewall rules, access lists, segmentation, and Zero Trust principles. Manage lifecycle activities: patching, upgrades, migrations, and replacement of network equipment. Participate in infrastructure and cloud connectivity projects, ensuring network readiness and alignment with architectural standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to follow up on incidents, resolve ongoing issues, and ensure stable global operations. Document network topology, procedures, and operational runbooks to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Contribute to capacity planning, performance tuning, and improvements in network monitoring and alerting. Qualifications Experience with administering and supporting enterprise-grade network hardware (Cisco or similar). Managing LAN/WAN/WLAN infrastructure, including routing (OSPF/BGP), switching (VLANs, STP), and wireless technologies. Working with firewalls and network security platforms, such as Check Point, Cisco ASA/FTD, or similar. Supporting VPN technologies, including site-to-site and remote access solutions. Configuring and troubleshooting network monitoring and management tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Cisco DNA Center, etc.). Implementing network segmentation, access control, and Zero Trust principles. Managing network lifecycle activities: firmware upgrades, hardware refresh cycles, migrations, and patching. Understanding ITIL processes, including incident, problems, and change management. Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (Azure, AWS, or similar), including hybrid connectivity. Performing packet analysis using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, or similar. Required Skills Several years of hands‑on experience working with enterprise network technologies, operations, and troubleshooting. Comfortable managing incidents, identifying root causes, and driving long‑term improvements. Understanding how to work within ITIL-based processes and appreciating the value of structured change and incident management. Strong security mindset and naturally considering best practices when designing or adjusting network configurations. Curiosity about new technologies, trends, and best practices in networking and cloud connectivity. Thrive in a collaborative environment and communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Self‑driven, organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment.
