As the Mexico Tax Manager, you will lead tax operations specific to the country and advise the business closely. You will ensure full compliance with local tax laws while supporting Micron’s leading global tax strategy. This role offers an outstanding chance to work with a diverse group of local and global partners. Responsibilities Collect information from SAP and other systems to prepare and submit Mexico corporate income tax, indirect taxes (such as ISR, IVA, and withholding taxes), and e‑Accounting reports monthly and annually. Prepare and submit VAT refund requests, and respond to follow‑up queries from the Mexican tax authority (SAT). Generate, retrieve, and cancel invoices (CFDI) using the SAT portal. Assist local operations teams and the Micron Customs group with monthly IMMEX compliance. Manage local tax planning initiatives, including incentives, credits, and structural opportunities. Assist with quarterly and annual tax provisions, tax estimates, deferred tax, and reconciliations. Lead tax audit defense and manage interactions with SAT. Complete country‑level and regional tax projects as required. Maintain positive relationships with external advisors and internal collaborators. Partner with business units to understand operations and act as a trusted advisor on tax matters. Support Transfer Pricing compliance, coordinating local documentation requirements. Coordinate with local finance teams to ensure accurate financial data and drive process improvements. Global Responsibilities Collaborate with the Global Tax team to improve processes, including standardization and automation initiatives. Partner with Accounting, Payroll, Treasury, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Customs, and other global groups on tax‑related matters and cross‑functional projects. Support regional tax audits. Participate in and support global tax initiatives and special projects as needed. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 8 years of progressive tax experience, including public accounting and commercial environments. Solid understanding of Mexico tax regulations, including corporate income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, and navigating the SAT tax portal. General understanding of IMMEX Program requirements and restrictions. Understanding of Mexican financial accounting standards. Experience with global tax and cross‑functional teams, preferably within a US‑headquartered multinational. Strong communication skills with proficiency in both written and verbal forms of two languages, including English. Ability to travel up to 25%, as required. Highly diligent with strong analytical skills. Preferred Qualifications Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or local equivalent). Experience with SAP and tax‑related systems. Familiarity with US GAAP. Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience operating in a global, matrixed organization.
