Job Title: CyberArk Engineer (Mid–Senior Level, Conjur Focus) Overview We are seeking a highly skilled CyberArk Engineer with deep expertise in Conjur to support and enhance our Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Secrets Management platforms. This role blends engineering, integration, and operational support, with a strong emphasis on CyberArk Conjur (Secrets Manager) in cloud‑native and DevOps environments. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience designing, implementing, and supporting machine identity and secrets management solutions, while also contributing to broader CyberArk platform stability and maturity. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain CyberArk Conjur (OSS and/or Enterprise) platforms. Integrate Conjur with OCI‑compliant container runtimes for Docker and Podman images, and with Kubernetes environments (EKS, AKS, OpenShift) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab). Implement secrets injection patterns such as sidecar, init containers, and API‑based retrieval across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Develop and manage Conjur policies (YAML) for RBAC and least‑privilege access. Automate onboarding of applications and services into Conjur. Implement and support Conjur followers, clustering, and high availability. Provide core CyberArk platform support for Digital Vault, CPM (Central Policy Manager), PVWA (Password Vault Web Access), and PSM (Privileged Session Manager). Perform onboarding and lifecycle management of privileged accounts. Troubleshoot platform issues, performance bottlenecks, and outages. Participate in upgrades, patching, and disaster‑recovery testing. Develop automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Bash, and integrate secrets management into DevSecOps pipelines. Build reusable templates and modules for secure application onboarding. Support Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates); act as Tier 2/Tier 3 escalation for CyberArk and Conjur issues. Monitor platform health, logs, and audit events; develop and maintain runbooks and operational procedures. Support incident response and root‑cause analysis. Enforce least‑privilege and zero‑trust principles; support audit and compliance initiatives (SOX, PCI, etc.). Implement credential rotation and secrets lifecycle management. Partner with IAM, DevOps, and Security teams on secure architecture. Required Qualifications 4–8+ years of experience in CyberArk PAM solutions and 2–5+ years of hands‑on experience with CyberArk Conjur. Strong experience with Kubernetes and container platforms, Docker and Podman images; platform design and setup; CI/CD tools and DevOps practices; Linux administration. Experience with scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash). Solid understanding of Secrets management API authentication (OAuth, JWT, etc.) and network and security fundamentals. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Conjur Enterprise and Secrets Manager (AAM). Familiarity with service mesh and microservices security. Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP); CyberArk certifications (Defender, Sentry). Experience with machine identity management platforms (e.g., Venafi). Soft Skills Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills; ability to work cross‑functionally with DevOps and Security teams; excellent communication skills (technical and non‑technical); self‑starter with the ability to operate in both project and BAU environments. Key focus areas for success include scaling Conjur adoption across application teams, driving automation and reducing manual secrets management, improving platform stability and operational maturity, and enabling secure DevOps practices across the enterprise.
