Your Profile Develop and maintain 'Should Cost' analyses and technical estimations based on component specifications, technical drawings, and Bills of Material (BOM) for Interior Components (Floor Console, Overhead Trims, Trunk Trims, Hard Trims). Identify and propose cost-saving opportunities and optimizations throughout the vehicle development lifecycle to meet cost targets. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including Engineering, Purchasing, and Vehicle Program teams, providing data‑driven cost deltas to close gaps between cost targets and supplier quotes. Provide essential cost analysis and data to support negotiation activities during RFQs, change notes, and key vehicle milestones. Employ client‑specific methodologies and cost databases to create and deliver comprehensive cost analysis reports and present findings to program teams. Support benchmarking activities and purchasing/engineering commodity strategies to ensure competitive material and tooling costs. Your Role Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering or related field. 1+ years of experience in Design & Release or Technical Design roles in the automotive industry (automotive production methods and vehicle development processes) Experience in design or development of Interior Components (Floor Console, Overhead Trims, Trunk Trims, Hard Trims). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. Strong interest and willingness to learn and perform Costing activities (should cost analysis, cost estimation, design change cost, optimization, etc.) Previous exposure to cost analysis, should‑cost models, or technical costing is a plus.
