About the Role The Regional Business Manager – LATAM Exports North Region Orthopedics is a commercial leadership role responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth, distributor performance, market expansion, and commercial execution, channel expansion, and strategic market development across LATAM North Region (Mexico, Colombia, Central America, Ecuador and Venezuela) . This individual will lead regional business development initiatives, strengthen distributor partnerships, expand market share, and execute strategic commercial plans within the Orthopedics and Sports Medicine portfolio. The role requires a highly driven medical device commercial leader with strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and proven experience managing distributors, sales performance, forecasting, pricing, and key customer relationships across complex international markets. The Regional Business Manager serves as the bridge between distributors, surgeons, healthcare institutions, and internal cross-functional teams to deliver profitable growth and operational excellence. Core Responsibilities Commercial Leadership & Business Development Drive achievement of regional sales, revenue, margin, and profitability objectives Develop and execute strategic business plans aligned with regional growth priorities Identify and pursue new business opportunities, market expansion initiatives, and strategic partnerships Lead execution of product launches, commercialization plans, and growth initiatives Analyze market trends, competitive activity, reimbursement landscape, and customer needs to develop winning strategies Build and strengthen relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), surgeons, hospital systems, and strategic customers Own regional pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and business performance reviews Distributor Management & Channel Excellence Build, develop, and manage high-performing distributor partnerships across the region Drive distributor accountability for sales performance, inventory management, forecasting accuracy, pricing execution, and collections Evaluate distributor capabilities, infrastructure, market penetration, and investment alignment to support sustainable growth Conduct regular business reviews focused on pipeline, growth opportunities, operational performance, and strategic alignment Support distributor onboarding, contract negotiations, and renewal processes Ensure adherence to company policies, channel strategy, compliance standards, and commercial governance Manage distributor contracts throughout their full lifecycle, including creation, review, approvals, compliance tracking, and renewal planning Monitor distributor execution and implement corrective actions when needed to improve performance Ensure proper planning and proactive risk identification related to regulatory requirements in each market. Sales Execution & Performance Management Develop territory sales plans and execution strategies to meet or exceed objectives Monitor key performance indicators including sales growth, booked revenue, order counts, profitability, and market share Ensure disciplined pricing governance and adherence to regional commercial approval processes Lead annual budgeting, monthly/quarterly business reviews and monthly sales operating cadence across assigned markets Engage with key accounts, surgeons, hospitals, and stakeholders to drive adoption and utilization Maintain strong field presence and regularly travel throughout assigned markets Support pricing strategy execution and margin management in collaboration with Finance and Commercial Operations Ensure accurate forecasting and participation in S&OP and demand planning processes Cross-Functional Leadership Partner closely with Marketing on surgeon engagement, training programs, cadaver labs, congresses, and market development initiatives Collaborate with Customer Experience, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction Work closely with Legal and Compliance teams regarding contracts, distributor governance, and regulatory adherence Coordinate effectively across global and regional teams to support strategic priorities and execution Team Leadership & Talent Development Lead by example and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance Mentor, coach, and develop distributor teams and commercial personnel Communicate effectively across all organizational levels Influence stakeholders through strong leadership, business acumen, and relationship-building skills Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Engineering, Healthcare Management, or related field required MBA or advanced degree preferred +8-12 years of progressive commercial leadership experience within medical devices, Orthopedics, or Sports Medicine Proven track record managing distributors and driving sustainable growth across Latin America markets Experience working within complex international and matrix organizations preferred Strong understanding of healthcare systems and distributor-based commercial models Fluency in English and Spanish required Portuguese preferred Ability to travel extensively throughout Latin America and internationally as required
