The Role As a Red Hat OpenShift Platform Administrator at Kyndryl, you will be responsible for the administration, operation, and support of container platforms across on‑premise and cloud environments. In this role, you will ensure the availability, performance, security, and reliability of OpenShift clusters that support business‑critical applications. You will collaborate closely with DevOps, SRE, and development teams to deploy and support containerized applications, automate platform operations, and resolve incidents under strict service level agreements (SLAs), in alignment with Kyndryl standards and best practices. Key Responsibilities Administer and operate Red Hat OpenShift platforms across on‑premise and cloud environments. Manage Kubernetes components including pods, namespaces, services, ingress, and cluster resources. Deploy and support containerized applications using CI/CD pipelines and automation practices. Perform cluster installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management. Monitor, log, and troubleshoot production environments, supporting incident resolution under SLAs. Required Technical and Professional Experience 4+ years of experience administering container platforms or Kubernetes‑based environments. Hands‑on experience with Red Hat OpenShift, including on‑premise and cloud deployments. Strong knowledge of Kubernetes objects, networking, and container lifecycle management. Experience deploying and supporting containerized applications via CI/CD pipelines. Background in cluster operations: installation, configuration, upgrades, patches, and security. Experience integrating OpenShift with infrastructure components such as VMware, storage, networks, and load balancers. Proficiency in monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting production environments. Exposure to automation and scripting using Ansible, YAML, and GitOps. Intermediate English proficiency, required for collaboration with global teams and documentation. Preferred Technical and Professional Experience EX280: Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration certification. Experience working in large‑scale, enterprise, or regulated environments. Familiarity with RBAC, certificates, secrets, security policies, and cluster networking. Experience working alongside DevOps and SRE teams. Exposure to IT service management practices and operational best practices.
