Overview Tekton Labs is looking for a Technical Lead in Support Engineering to work on a large-scale video streaming platform used by millions of users worldwide. In this role, you will lead a team of developers, manage end-to-end support operations, and contribute to feature development, SDK updates, and production reliability. This is a senior-level, full-time hybrid opportunity based in Guadalajara, Mexico. Offer: Contractor: USD Timezone: (UTC-06:00) Mexico City, Mexico - Central Time (CT) English Level: B2 - Upper Intermediate Spanish Level: C2 - Native Responsibilities Provide technical leadership to developers on support-related tasks and production issues Manage local and remote developer teams within the region Own bug fixes in production applications and verify their resolution Contribute to feature development, SDK updates, code enhancement and refactoring Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality Lead customer discussions, requirements analysis and testing support Deploy builds to test and production environments Participate in status meetings with team members, clients and stakeholders Manage end-to-end ticket and issue lifecycle from generation through closure Review fixes from junior or global engineers and provide constructive feedback Coach junior team members and organize training sessions and knowledge sharing Develop and maintain technical documentation, Confluence pages and SOPs Proactively suggest improvements for clients, processes, tools and services Must have Backend or full-stack development experience on multiple platforms 5+ years Expert knowledge of at least one platform-specific language or framework (JavaScript, Python, Java, or similar) — 4+ years Experience in video and media-based development projects (DRM, OVPs, Advertising, Analytics) — 3+ years Git or equivalent SCM system (Bitbucket, Subversion) — 3+ years REST API integration and third-party library consumption — 3+ years Technical team leadership or tech lead role — 2+ years English C1 (daily written and verbal communication with international clients) Nice to have OTT or Smart TV platform development (Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV) — 1+ year Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns for scalable systems — 2+ years Experience with Agile / Scrum and CI/CD pipelines — 2+ years Familiarity with streaming protocols (HLS, DASH, DRM) — 1+ year Experience mentoring junior developers or support engineers — 1+ year Based in Guadalajara, Mexico (for hybrid collaboration with client) #J-18808-Ljbffr
