Description Reporting organizationally to the Workforce & Recruitment Manager, the Workforce Recruitment Specialist will help serve Workforce full life cycle recruitment efforts for the FIFA World Cup 2026, the first time ever hosting 48 teams and 1,200+ players across three countries and 16 venues. This role will be responsible for providing comprehensive recruitment administrative support, assisting in managing workforce operations, including the smooth coordination of onboarding tasks and activities. Note: This will be a 4‑month fixed‑term role. THE POSITION Further, this role will oversee the candidate experience through the employee lifecycle, coordinating schedules, managing correspondence, organizing meetings and interviews in support of the recruitment team, maintaining records and documents, assisting with logistical arrangements, and providing general HR administrative support to ensure smooth operations for the FIFA World Cup 2026. This role would be an immediate start. Main Responsibilities Partner with Function Area Leaders to understand the service levels, deliverables, and people‑related needs within the workstream/department/division. Capture recruitment requirements, create and post appealing job ads on relevant platforms and social media, conduct interviews, coordinate background checks, screen applications through the Applicant Tracking System, and create customized interviews to engage candidates where appropriate. Support managers through every stage of hiring, including live interviews with the most suitable candidates. Coordinate and manage schedules, appointments, calendars, and interviews as required in support of the recruitment team, ensuring efficient time management and coordination of activities. Oversee (or conduct when necessary) pre‑employment applicant screening processes (e.g., background checks, reference calls). Lead and conclude contract negotiations. Stay updated on recruitment trends and best practices, and adapt them to the specific needs and requirements of the FIFA World Cup 2026. Use statistics and reports to analyze your contribution and learn for the future, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of information in accordance with established protocols and compliance guidelines, and assist in data entry and management. Own your processes and create a great candidate experience. Assist in organizing meetings, onboarding sessions, and events, including preparing agendas/content, coordinating logistics, and managing documentation. Handle ad‑hoc administrative tasks and special projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic event environment. YOUR PROFILE Education & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or similar level of higher education. Work Experience Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a comparable role in an international, fast‑paced environment, preferably in the events and/or sports industry. Expertise in using various social media platforms to advance traction on sourcing key roles. Demonstrated ability to project‑manage, prioritize effectively, and work independently. Ability to provide examples where excellent client service skills and the capacity to facilitate the needs of multiple business units has served you well in your career to date. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrable adaptability and examples of where you’ve acted as a facilitator and/or negotiator. Experience working within a multicultural and/or multinational organisation. Languages Fluent in English and Spanish. Technology Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools.
