Johnson Controls (global leader in building systems) is looking for an Industrial Engineer on a contract basis. What will you do? The Industrial Engineer will focus on optimizing complex processes and systems within manufacturing operations to improve efficiency and productivity through cost initiative projects. Responsibilities Lead the updates of the line’s Current Value Stream Maps (VSMs), identifying improvement opportunities, prioritizing action items, and leading implementation through Kaizen events or continuous improvement projects. Update and maintain the plant layout, improving process flow accordingly. Conduct detailed analysis of manufacturing processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement. Utilize statistical methods and Lean principles to develop and implement process enhancements. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to establish best practices and standard operating procedures. Perform time studies and analyze production data to evaluate process efficiency and effectiveness. Maintain and update line capacity according to the line Standard Work. Maintain and update the plant layout (using AutoCAD) according to any area modification to improve process flow. Manage projects related to process improvements, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints. Facilitate training sessions to educate staff on new processes and tools to enhance productivity. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience in industrial engineering or process improvement within a manufacturing setting. Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to use data to drive decisions. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to collaborate effectively. Proficiency in using engineering software and tools for process modeling and analysis. Fluent in English. Valid VISA and Passport (highly required). Preferred Experience with project management principles and methodologies. Knowledge of ERP systems and data analytics tools.
