Position Summary The Sales Manager, Central Mexico is a full-cycle enterprise sales role for a technically fluent, market-savvy professional who thrives on building business from the ground up. Based in the Central Mexico region with flexibility for remote customer engagement, you will own the complete sales lifecycle — from strategic territory planning and cold prospecting to technical solution design, negotiation, and deal closure — across automotive Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers, OEMs, and system integrators. This is not a maintenance role. You will be expected to open new accounts, win competitive evaluations, and establish Mech-Mind as the preferred 3D vision partner in one of Central Mexico's most dynamic industrial zones. High performers will have the opportunity to shape regional strategy and build a local team as the territory scales. What You'll Do Own the Territory: Strategically plan and execute sales activities across Central Mexico, managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure to achieve aggressive regional growth targets. Hunt & Land Key Accounts: Independently prospect, qualify, and close new business with automotive Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers, metal processing leaders, OEMs, and automation integrators — with minimal supervision. Be the Technical Trusted Advisor: Engage directly with Engineering, Operations, and Plant Management to understand automation challenges, architect customer-specific 3D vision and AI robotics solutions, and articulate clear ROI. Drive Account Expansion: Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts; identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, ensure retention, and nurture long-term strategic partnerships. Align Internal Resources: Collaborate closely with internal engineering, applications, and support teams to scope, prototype, and deliver solutions that win technical evaluations. Read the Market: Continuously monitor Central Mexico industrial trends, automotive supply chain shifts, and competitor movements to uncover whitespace opportunities and preempt risks. Represent the Brand: Lead regional presence at trade shows, industry events, and customer-facing activities to build brand authority and generate qualified pipeline. Build for Scale: Provide structured feedback to global leadership on Central Mexico market signals, pricing dynamics, and product-market fit to inform broader regional strategy. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field — you understand how automation systems work at a component level. 5+ years of full-cycle sales experience in industrial automation, machine vision, robotics, or closely related industrial technologies, with a demonstrable track record of new business development (not just account maintenance). Proven ability to prospect and close independently — you are comfortable with cold outreach, on-site technical presentations, and navigating complex, multi-stakeholder buying committees. Strong technical fluency in automation and machine vision solutions; you can hold your own in discussions with engineers and translate technical capabilities into business value. Highly self-motivated, target-driven, and energized by ambiguity — you perform best when you're building something, not inheriting it. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in Spanish and English; ability to operate seamlessly across Mexican industrial culture and global corporate standards. Willingness to travel frequently throughout Central Mexico and occasionally to headquarters or customer sites across the Americas. Experience working with CRM tools and disciplined pipeline management; HubSpot familiarity is a bonus.
