Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer Job Type: Hybrid. Location: Mexico City. Reports to: Director of IT Platform Engineering / Manager of Platform Automation Engineering. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows for provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of network devices, servers, and cloud infrastructure. Build and maintain reusable infra‑as‑code templates and playbooks using Ansible, Terraform, and Python. Develop and operate CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes with automated testing, validation, and deployment. Collaborate with network, cloud, and security teams to translate manual processes into repeatable, version‑controlled automation. Contribute to self‑service automation capabilities and internal platform tooling. Integrate workflow automation tools (e.g., BlinkOps) to orchestrate cross‑domain processes and reduce operational toil. Implement configuration compliance checks, drift detection, and automated remediation within provisioning pipelines. Maintain source‑of‑truth data in NetBox and ensure data quality standards. Explore and apply AI‑assisted techniques to accelerate automation development. Document automation processes, architecture decisions, and standard operating procedures. Participate in Agile ceremonies. Stay current with industry trends. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. 5+ years in network engineering, infrastructure automation, or a related discipline. Hands‑on experience with routing, switching, firewalls, wireless (Cisco, Palo Alto, or similar). Proficiency in Python. Experience with at least one infra‑as‑code tool (Ansible, Terraform, etc.). Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.). Familiarity with Git and code review workflows. API‑driven automation experience (REST, NETCONF, RESTCONF). Exposure to workflow orchestration platforms and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus). Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid environments. No visa sponsorship available for either current or future employment. Preferred Qualifications Advanced English proficiency. Experience with workflow orchestration platforms. Experience with AI‑assisted automation techniques.
