This role is responsible for ensuring the quality of manufactured products and materials to be supplied to business units, supplier quality assurance, and best practices across the supply chain, working in close collaboration with technical and operations areas. The position operates under the direction of strategic development and execution to support global supply and improved sourcing of direct and indirect resources, while minimizing the risk of non‑compliance. It will establish necessary controls, monitoring and analyzing the performance of both existing and new supply sources. With a continuous improvement approach, this role will enable national investment growth by minimizing all possible risks in component manufacturing, directing efforts toward greater productivity and opportunity. It will lead current and future technical kickoff meetings and project discussions while implementing parallel execution plans, proactively supporting regional and global opportunities that contribute to the optimization of operational costs. What you’ll do Perform in‑plant inspections in accordance with engineering drawings and technical specifications (visual, layout, dimensional, material traceability, welding processes, NDTs), traveler sheets, and/or ITPs Verify quality results of equipment for integration into the Dossier Manage audits and propose problem‑solving solutions Document quality defects found in equipment through Non‑Conformance Reports (NCR) Develop a quality plan for equipment manufacturing Manage supplier performance databases Conduct supplier development audits Generate equipment release and shipment approvals Generate inspection reports and/or documentation in English Perform non‑destructive testing (within certification scope, if applicable) Audit proper product identification and traceability for in‑process, finished, and non‑conforming products. Ensure manufactured equipment meets the standards required by SN200 norm What you’ll need Computer proficiency: MS Office, ERP, Global Inspection internal platform, CSMT Preparation of performance tracking reports and dashboards Problem analysis and root cause identification Knowledge in project management, metal‑mechanical manufacturing, and ETO (Engineer‑to‑Order) Measurement equipment handling Leadership, persuasion, supervision, and strong oral and written communication skills (English desirable) Organized, results‑oriented, and goal‑driven with experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, or inspection Ability to conduct project reviews, follow‑up, expediting, audits, and problem‑solving verification Knowledge of Metal‑Mechanical industry – Oil & Gas, Steel Fabrication ISO, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, PMI, NDT, AWS, ASME, API, RR Willingness to travel nationally or internationally to suppliers SMS group Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
