This is a strategic leadership role for an experienced executive with a strong commercial mindset and deep expertise in the Mexican payments ecosystem. Based in Mexico City, you will be responsible for defining and executing the country strategy, accelerating business growth, and positioning Newland as a leading provider of payment terminal solutions in the region. We are looking for a true “Hunter-General Manager” — someone with a strong business development background, a proven track record in the payments industry, and an established network of C-level relationships across Mexican Banks, Acquirers, Fintechs, and Payment Processors. This role requires a highly autonomous leader capable of building and scaling operations with an entrepreneurial mindset. Responsibilities Develop and execute the country business strategy aligned with Newland’s global objectives. Drive aggressive revenue growth and market share expansion across Mexico. Lead the complete commercial cycle, from prospecting to closing strategic deals with Tier-1 Banks and Acquirers. Leverage your existing network to generate immediate business opportunities and strategic partnerships. Manage the country P&L, ensuring profitability targets and operational efficiency. Oversee local supply chain, warehousing, importation, and distribution processes. Ensure compliance with Mexican labor, tax, and corporate regulations. Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performance local team across Sales, Pre-Sales, Support, and Administration. Build a strong culture focused on results, agility, accountability, and customer-centricity. Coordinate closely with regional and global headquarters to align strategic priorities and execution plans. Represent Newland at key industry events, partner meetings, and executive-level negotiations. Education & Experience – Minimum 10+ years of experience in the Payments, Fintech, POS Hardware, or Financial Technology industry in Mexico. Proven experience managing P&L and delivering strong revenue growth in B2B technology environments. Strong experience in strategic sales, business development, and executive leadership roles. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or postgraduate degree is highly preferred.
